Everyone on diet starts with a simple goal: burn extra calorie. It is easier for people in their teen to have activities, but how about older people? If you have narrow time for exercise, you will need to find ways to burn extra calories. There are slight changes you can create in your daily activities that will help you burn extra calories without much effort at all.
Find an activity that you can possibly have fun outside. This doesn’t have to be activities with high intensity like an exercise. It could be very simple activities. It might be playing with your children, a hobby that you enjoy, gardening, or something else. Whatever it is, it should be something that you look forward to doing outside.
You can park further away whenever you are going to the grocery store. You will walk a little bit further and take some extra steps in during the day. This may look like nothing, but in time, you will see slight results
If you have the option to take the stairs, use them. It will be a few calories burned. Doing this over time helps a lot. Avoid if you have knee problems.
Do some volunteer work. There are many groups that need some physical labor. As you volunteer, you will move around and getting a few calories burned off here and there. You can meet some of your goals while doing something very productive.
Drink cold water. When you get cold water in your body, it takes a bit more to metabolize it as it’s colder than the temperature of your body. Doing this all day long every day is proven to burn extra calorie
Even if you only burn an extra 50 calories a day from changes, it helps. This can prevent or help lose 5 pounds each year. That can make a huge difference over the next few years.
